The Weathersfield Township Gas Aggregation Program with Constellation Energy will be ending with your meter reading in May. The Trustees would like to remind our residents that they have an opportunity to join the Trumbull County Gas Aggregation Program. The Trumbull County Gas Aggregation Program began in March of this year and continues through February 2026. A fixed rate of $3.99 per Mcf has been established and there is a senior discount (over 65) at $3.89/Mcf. For enrollment information please contact Constellation Energy at (844) 809-6834.
LEGAL NOTICE - REQUEST FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Township Trustees of Weathersfield Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, 1451 Prospect Street, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440 until 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 28, 2022 for the collection and disposal of all RESIDENTIAL WASTE and RECYCLABLE MATERIAL, for single and two-family dwelling structures within the unincorporated area of Weathersfield Township.
The exclusive contract for collection and disposal of residential refuse and garbage, with recycling (the “Contract”), shall be for a three (3) year period with the option for two mutually agreed extension periods for a period of two (2) years each. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a bid security in the amount and subject to the conditions provided in this Bid Package. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond and Performance Cash Deposit within ten (10) days of contract award. Each prospective bidder must be an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids received and waive any informalities. The Weathersfield Township Police Department is hiring Full time Police Officers.
The minimum qualifications for all applicants for the position are:
1.) Minimum age of 18.
2.) High school graduate (or GED).
3.) Good physical and medical condition.
4.) No felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions involving theft, dishonesty, violence, or crime related to use of a weapon.
5.) Valid Ohio driver’s license with a good driving record (no reckless operation or other citations indicative of irresponsibility).
6.) Must have OPOTA Certification.

It appears that spring has sprung early this year and everyone is certainly enjoying the warm and dry weather. Please remember that open burning is not permitted within the Township. We have had several serious brush fires that placed our firefighters and our residents property at risk. Please do not open burn and enjoy the remainder of your spring.
We would like to thank Governor DeWine for visiting us Thursday, December 9, 2021 to announce the award of $3 million from the Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Grant Program through the Department of Development for our elevated water storage tank and booster pump station project. This project will resolve long-standing water pressure and volume problems for the residents in this water district.
iLOOKABOUT is working on behalf of the Trumbull County Assessor's Office as part of an ongoing effort to collect up-to-date imagery of properties within Trumbull County. The effort will take place over se4veral weeks this fall.
