The patrol division is the foundation of the police department; it provides protection and public service twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Patrol is broken down into three eight hour shifts: day turn, afternoon turn and midnight turn. Patrol officers are responsible for enforcing state laws and township resolutions.
